Today I miss my girls so much!!

Since my mom is having a party this weekend, I needed to run a bunch of errands for her and for myself. So I spent the better part of my time after work running from store to store and not really getting anywhere. Have I mentioned how I hate shopping in a physical store in the month of December?? Everything is a mess and they are always out of what I need. I really need to learn to get what I need in September!

Well I got home and had some time to cuddle with my girls before they went to bed. They got to have their last bottle for the night under our un-decorated Christmas tree (only has the lights)! I wish we could always have a tree up - it's just such a pretty sight!

Hopefully I'll get home quickly from my eye doctor appointment tomorrow and we can decorate the tree.

But on a productive note - the girls fell asleep with just a little singing and I was awake to actually work on a few little projects.

She Laughed!! (Alex, that is)

The four of us were hanging out at home on Sunday (today) and I had Alex in her swing chair next to me at the kitchen table. All of a sudden she farted. So of course I laughed - it's still funny after hearing it 10,000 times! And I started to talk to her and apparently she actually laughed - like "ha ha ha". I did not catch on - dh had to tell me! So thankfully the camera was right next to me and I turned on the video and continued to talk to her about her funny fart and make fart noises for her and she was just laughing away!

Ahhh...how I just love my life!

S wants her mama!!

So today was yet another busy day. I got home from work and tried to spend a little time with the girls before H and I had to leave to visit brand new baby G. My mom and I gave them their baths and got them dressed. I headed downstairs with both girls. My dad took S and was walking around with her and talking to her. She wasn't too happy for some strange reason. Then as soon as he brought her back to me, she calmed down a bit and we saw the slightest sign of her reaching out for me!!! Just melts my heart! My sweet girl does recognize me as her mama!!!

So then we switched girls and they were both pretty darn happy. Heck - with all the attention these two get - they would be crazy to not soak it up!

Why Hello There!

I'm a 30-something working mom to a set of adorable fraternal twin girls (Alex and Sof), with an amazing husband (H). We also have the most amazing family around us, that are always there to save the day and make sure every day is memorable!

As a mom of twins, I'm having a difficult time finding actual minutes in the day to write down all the wonderful things that happen in my girls' lives. My mom bought me a beautiful book to start the documentation of our memories, but I'm only on Day 2 of their life. So here I am with 20week old twins, and I think this whole blog thing might work out better for now. I may go back and write in that beautiful book, but so I don't forget the little things - I'm going to write them all down.

So here is where this blog will jump around. I'm going to make all my regular - up-to-date posts, but I'm also going to go back over the last 20 weeks and post some very memorable moments. So bear with me while I make sure I don't forget the important daily events of our lives, and create a great memory for the girls!
